California Faces Conundrum Over Global Warming
A recent poll indicates a majority of Californians claim to believe in global warming, but that most in the state have no inclination to do anything about it.

California finds itself on the horns of a dilemma: It is committed to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the belief that such reductions will help to combat global warming, but it is also committed to building no more nuclear power plants, which produce electricity at a relatively low cost and emit virtually no greenhouse gasses.
How can California — and others who are similarly incapacitated by global warming fears — get out of this dilemma? A good beginning would be to point out some of the stunning recent revelations that the mainstream media has conveniently ignored.
For example, global warming fanatics have repeatedly cited NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS), which had asserted that nine of the ten warmest years in history have occurred since 1995. But when NASA was confronted with evidence provided by Climate Audit, a blog devoted to auditing the statistical methods and data used in historical reconstructions of past climate data, it reversed itself. Without the fanfare used to promote the global warming hysteria it had earlier supported, NASA now says that four of the top ten years of high temperatures are from the 1930s. Several of the earlier alleged warmest years – 2000, 2002, 2003 and 2004 – now rank behind the year 1900.
Also, GISS now says its previous claim that 1998 was the warmest year in American history is no longer valid. (The warmest year was 1934.)
The New York Times ran a story recently that said it would cost a lot of money to fight global warming. The obvious implication is that this money should come from government (i.e., taxpayers), and that more government regulations and control over our lives are required. And yet, politicians and bureaucrats are the very people who seem unable to win wars, educate our children, and control spending! Do we really want to give these people yet more money and authority?
The geologic record shows that climate change has been going on for thousands of years, unaffected by humans. In the end, the global warming debate is being driven by ideologues and demagogues, who are using deceitful and alarmist arguments, in order to justify seizing control of human activity everywhere on the planet.

science is skewed, is sometimes as simple as in one study a
majority of in country test monitors were placed in
urban areas picking up man-made heat producers,
when scientific protocol called for the monitors
to be placed in a rural setting.)
