The police state

“The test for whether one is living in a police state is  that those who are charged with enforcing the law  are allowed to break the laws with impunity.”

— Jon Roland

[Waco, Ruby Ridge, our borders… even on NPR the other day there was the audio from the cop mikes as they rousted a homeless guy (James Boyd) in a tent in Albuquerque, NM. He didn’t comply fast enough with their shouted commands to put his hands behind his head. They shot him dead. The fact that he was unarmed and wasn’t actually a threat to anyone doesn’t seem to trouble the citizenry. Cops just put forth their typical defense, “He could have had a gun!” Yeah… he could have had a lot of things, but he didn’t. Why did you shoot him? The fact that there are slob cops is not the real shocker, it is that they are allowed to walk. Where are the citizen review boards? Oh that’s right, the cop shops assure us we don’t need them. This deadly ignorance of the populace wouldn’t be so bad, but it is taking me with them. In Santa Rosa, California the cops murdered 13 year old Andy Lopez as he walked home with his toy replica gun. Everybody walked. The other little key ingredient to all this, is where is your precious “conservative” talk radio host during all this? Deafening silence. – Jim Roach]
