Because U.S House of Representatives candidate Brad Zaun did not achieve 35% during the June 3rd primary, delegates to the June 21 convention will choose the candidate for Iowa’s third district. This should prove interesting. Branstad forces initiated a hostile takeover of the Iowa Republican Party at the caucuses this past January.
The majority of the delegates to the upcoming convention are now mostly RINO’s and neocons like Branstad. I can see where the top vote getter of the primary, Zaun, may not be chosen. He’s not a true conservative of course, but he is way too close for Branstad I’m sure.
The last thing the moneyed interests of Iowa’s Republican party would want, is another Steve King.
