I wonder if gas prices will go up now that the election is over?

Current price for subsidized farmer welfare gas: $2.94 on November 11, 2014. Let’s see what it is January 11, 2015.

Other election thoughts:

“If pigs could vote, the man with the slop bucket would be elected swineherd every time, no matter how much slaughtering he did on the side.”

— Orson Scott Card
(1951- ) Novelist

“Comrades, I consider it completely unimportant who in the party will vote, or how. But what is extraordinarily important is this: who will count the votes, and how.”

— Josef Stalin
(1879-1953) Communist leader of the USSR

[Every time in the past when gas prices went up, local TV news crews would go interview someone like the local AAA Travel guy as to why gas prices went up. The AAA guy would say a refinery was down for maintenance or “the unrest in the Middle East”. Well when isn’t there “unrest in the Middle East”? It has been nonstop  at least since 9/11, and truthfully before that. So why did gas prices go down in an election year when ISIS has been running rampant since at least June, killing and pillaging oil fields like none before? ISIS has been scaring the snot out of everyone like never before, and gas prices go down? In the middle of unprecedented “unrest in the Middle East”? It is to protect the incumbents, people.]
